About Snowflake Heritage Foundation
The Snowflake Heritage Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the remarkable pioneer history of Snowflake, one of Arizona's most historically significant small towns with more than 45 properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Based at 102 N 1st E—home of the Stinson Museum, housed in a historic Hispanic Colonial Adobe—the Foundation maintains museum exhibits spanning Snowflake's prehistoric, Hispanic, and Mormon pioneer past, including artifacts such as the loom used by pioneer Lucy Hannah Flake. The organization offers historic home tours throughout the year, taking visitors inside carefully preserved Victorian-era properties that illuminate the lives of the families who built Snowflake beginning in 1878. For residents, the Foundation is the keeper of community memory; for visitors, it offers an irreplaceable window into one of the West's most authentically preserved pioneer towns.
